Ferdinand Foch was a french commander during World War I. He lived from 1851 to 1929 enlisted in 1870 and served in the Franco-Prussian in 1871.He was the commander during the Battle of The Marne and won the first battle but lost the second. He commanded the French troops in the Battle of The Somme. He also played a great role at the Paris Peace Conference.
